Structural Engineer (US)

What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join the Mighty Buildings Product team. You will work directly with our engineers and architects, supporting new construction projects and business initiatives. Your role will involve working with and developing Mighty Buildings’ prefabricated panelized construction systems.

What You’ll Be Doing
• Project Design and drafting:
Develop structural designs for US-based and international client projects utilizing Mighty Buildings’ panelized construction system; Create detailed structural Revit models, perform calculations, and generate accurate drawing sets. Prepare take-offs and support cost estimation processes.
• Structural Analysis:
Conduct comprehensive structural analyses to assess the load-bearing capacity and stability of various components, including steel, structural insulated panels, and wood framing
• Design Collaboration and Problem Solving:
Collaborate closely with architects, construction teams, and other engineers to integrate structural elements seamlessly into overall building designs.
• Building Code Compliance:
Ensure all designs and construction practices comply with local building codes, environmental conditions, and industry standards to maintain structural integrity and building safety.

What’s Required
• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred), major in Structural Engineering. Familiarity with seismic design. 
• Proven experience drafting with Revit, experience with FEM and structural design analysis software. 
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, with strong knowledge of seismic design.
• At least 5 years of work experience in residential or commercial construction.
• Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and construction methods. Ability to implement United States building and local zoning code requirements, particularly for California and Florida.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Startup mindset: a hands-on, jack-of-all-trades candidate who is a self-starter, resourceful, and comfortable with ambiguity, problem solving, and innovation.

Manufacturing Engineer (US)

What We’re Looking For
Join Mighty Building as a Manufacturing Engineer where you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the new product pilot production factory. Using your knowledge of technology and engineering principles you will oversee the planning, development and implementation of manufacturing methods, processes and options to make our next generation wall panels using 3D printing. 

What You’ll Be Doing
• Design and implement manufacturing processes and systems, including assembly and CNC machining
• Develop and maintain schematics and diagrams of manufacturing systems and processes.
• Leads and provides direction on equipment design, installation, commissioning and validation
• Develop and coordinate annual CAPEX plans, projects and budget for cost reduction, capacity expansion and safety.
• Create and manage project schedules to ensure timely completion of manufacturing projects.

What’s Required
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience; or Master’s degree with 3+ years’ experience; or equivalent experience.
Effective communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, in English.
Experience with CNC machining and robot programming.
Proficient in Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) with approach to structured problem-solving and decision-making.
Proficient in software applications such as CAD modeling, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
Experience in Engineering Change Management Process.
Working knowledge in Operation Method Sheets (OMS), process planning, and Bill of Materials (BOM) Management
Broad and in-depth understanding of Lean Manufacturing techniques, 8D, & 5S

Senior Architect (US)

What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Architect to join the Mighty Buildings Product team. You will work directly with our other architects and engineers, supporting new construction projects and business initiatives. Your role will involve working with and developing Mighty Buildings’ prefabricated panelized construction systems.

What You’ll Be Doing
• Design and planning: develop architectural designs for US-based and international client projects utilizing Mighty Buildings’ panelized construction system; create detailed Revit models and generate accurate drawing sets; prepare material take-offs and support cost estimation processes.
• Design Collaboration and Problem Solving: collaborate closely with customers, GCs, and local design teams to integrate our construction system, develop project-specific details, and ensure manufacturability with Mighty Buildings’ technology.
• Building Code Compliance: coordinate with local permitting authorities to deliver customer projects; ensure designs and construction practices comply with local code requirements and industry standards.
• Business Maintenance Projects: optimize workflows to streamline the design process, project delivery, quality/cost optimization improvements, etc. 
• Strategic Partnerships: establish and maintain partnerships with external designers, including architecture and engineering firms. 

What’s Required
A minimum of 8 years of architectural experience - particularly residential; demonstrated work in prefabricated construction systems preferred.  
Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree Registered Architect in the US preferred, with licensure in California or Florida a nice to have.
Strong knowledge of the International Building Code. Ability to implement local building and zoning code requirements and interface with permitting agencies.
Proficiency in Revit, Rhino, and Google Workspace, particularly developing construction documentation, technical drawing management, and presentations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A startup mindset: A proven ability to be resourceful, self-sufficient, and passionate about innovation in the prefabricated construction space. A self-starter who takes initiative and responsibility for their work and actions. Comfort working in a flat organizational environment.
